PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite false-twisted yarn which enables the expression of a natural grain pattern, is excellent in a soft feel and a bulky feel and has a low environmental load; and to provide a woven or knitted fabric which is low in strength reduction caused by ironing with steam and repeated drying in a tumbler after washing and is excellent in dimensional stability while using polylactic acid.SOLUTION: In a composite false-twisted yarn, a false-twisted yarn A formed of a polylactic acid multifilament is arranged in a sheath part, and a false-twisted yarn B formed of a polyester multifilament other than the polylactic lactic acid multifilament is arranged in a core so that both of them are combined in a core-sheath form. The composite false-twisted yarn has a dyeing grade difference of 1.0 or more between the false-twisted yarn A and the false-twisted yarn B and satisfies the following equations (i) and (ii): LA>LB....(i) and SA>SB....(ii) (LA: the yarn length of the false-twisted yarn A, LB: the yarn length of the false-twisted yarn B, SA: the hot water shrinkage of the false-twisted yarn A, SB: the hot water shrinkage of the false-twisted yarn B). |
