PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the compression ratio of an internal combustion engine variable with a simple structure.SOLUTION: A compression ratio variable device of an internal combustion engine is configured so that one end of a crankshaft support arm 26 pivotally, rotatably supporting a crankshaft 13 is rotatably supported by a support shaft 25, and so that a pair of arm support means 27 and 28 provided in a crankcase 6 so as to abut on a held portion 26a on the other end of the crankshaft support arm 26 from both sides along an axis of a cylinder bore 10 is switchable over among a state of keeping a position of the held portion 26a at a predetermined position, a state of moving the held portion 26a to one side along the axis of the cylinder bore 10, and a state of moving the held portion 26a to the other side along the axis of the cylinder bore 10. |
