PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quarry gate control method capable of preventing occurrence of jamming and retention of a raw material at a raw material discharge channel from sub discharge equipment stably and surely without significantly reducing production efficiency of blast furnace operation, when discharging a raw material to a blast furnace top of a blast furnace from the sub discharge equipment.SOLUTION: When a quarry gate is operated from a closing state to an opening direction during sub discharge period, in a state that the quarry gate is opened to an intermediate opening degree not reaching a fully opening state, opening direction operation of the quarry gate is temporarily stopped, and after holding the quarry gate in the intermediate opening degree for a predetermined time, the quarry gate is opened to the fully opening degree. |
