PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent printing ink that shows stable printing workability and concentration stability under printing conditions with excessive supply of dampening water, and that prevents watermarks or roller stripping.SOLUTION: A lithographic printing ink is provided, which contains the following rosin-modified phenolic resin (A). The rosin-modified phenolic resin (A) is produced by reacting rosin (a) and a resol type phenolic resin (b), then reacting a polyhydric alcohol (c). In the above production method of the rosin-modified phenolic resin (A), the polyhydric alcohol is divided into two or more fractions to separately react. With respect to the total amount of the polyhydric alcohol (c) supplied, an amount of the polyhydric alcohol (c) subjected to the reaction at the second time and later is 5 to 40 wt.%. |
