PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit of an air conditioner that can prevent flames generated in a machine chamber from being propagated to the outside without any increase in size.SOLUTION: An outdoor unit of an air conditioner uses a refrigerant whose combustion rate is R32, and includes a housing which has an outside air introduction port in a machine chamber where a compressor is arranged, a flow channel which is fitted to the housing to cover the outside air introduction port from outside, and guides outside air to the outside air introduction port, and a cover which has a cover opening part for introducing the outside air into the flow channel. Then the outdoor unit satisfies Din<=(0.053×L-Dout+13)/1.02, where Din is an effective diameter of the outside air introduction port, Dout is an effective diameter of the cover opening part, and L is the shortest distance between the outside air introduction port and cover opening part. |
