PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adopt sheet presses for pressing a sheet in advance when cutting and punching as re-folding processing of the sheet when the cutting and punching are not performed by pressing the sheet presses against a crease of a folding sheet, and prevent a decrease in a stacking amount caused by the opening and bulging of the folding sheet without providing a special re-folding mechanism.SOLUTION: A sheet processing apparatus comprises: a center folding part for folding a sheet at the center; a placing table 48 located on the downstream side of the center folding part for placing a center folding sheet folded at the center; a center folding processing part for punching and/or cutting the center folding sheet on the placing table; and sheet pressing members 58, 88 for pressing the center folding sheet against the placing table prior to the processing of the center folding processing part. The sheet pressing members 58, 88 are operated as re-folding members for further pressing a crease of the sheet folded by the center folding part between it and the placing table. |
