PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that suppresses an increase in temperature of a non-paper feed part, and can provide better heating performance even in a case of printing images with a high printing rate at the ends of a recording material.SOLUTION: When recording materials P are held and conveyed with a fixing nip part N and heated, and from information acquired by temperature information acquisition means, the temperature at the ends in the longitudinal direction of a fixing film 25 is estimated to be lower than that at the central part at the fixing nip part N, and the printing rate acquired by printing rate acquisition means is equal to or higher than a threshold, an image forming apparatus performs at least one of controls to control a heater 20 so as to increase the temperature of a fixing device C to be higher than a reference temperature or control to reduce the number of the recording materials P to be held and conveyed with the fixing nip part N per unit time. |
