PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient production method of soot containing fullerene which is a kind of carbon nano-materials.SOLUTION: Soot 5 containing fullerene can be obtained in a cooling chamber vessel 1 by: radially inserting a plurality of carbon electrodes 2, 2... in the cooling chamber vessel 1 in a gas atmosphere shut off from the atmosphere; generating arc discharge on tips or side faces of the carbon electrodes by applying an AC voltage with an adjusted phase to the respective carbon electrodes 2, 2...; and sublimating the group of electrodes 2, 2... by utilizing the discharge. |
