PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an isolated operation detection method capable of surely detecting an isolated operation.SOLUTION: A power conversion device 13 is configured to convert DC power from a power source 10 into AC power via an inverter 20 and output the AC power cooperatively with a commercial AC power source 11. The isolated operation detection method is configured to detect the power conversion device 13 is in an isolated operation state. The isolated operation detection method includes: a measuring step for measuring a frequency of the commercial AC power source 11 at predetermined intervals; a distribution detection step of detecting that the measured frequencies are distributed; and a determination step of determining that the power conversion device 13 is in the isolated operation state, in the case where it is detected in the distribution detection step that the frequencies are distributed.
