PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a rear end of a recording medium reliably while reducing the number of components.SOLUTION: A conveying device comprises: a first actuator 8 which is positioned at a first non-detection position where it is not detected by a sensor 71 when contacting with paper P supported by a paper feeding tray 3, and is positioned at a first detection position where it is detected by the sensor 71 when there is no paper P in the paper feeding tray 3; and a second actuator 9 which is positioned at a second detection position where it is detected by the sensor 71 when contacting with the paper P at a predetermined position A on a downstream side of a conveyance direction from the first actuator 8, and is positioned at a second non-detection position where it is not detected by the sensor 71 when not contacting with the paper P at the predetermined position A. When the second actuator 9 is at the second detection position, a movement of the first actuator 8 from the first non-detection position to the first detection position is restricted by a projection 93a. |
