Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for providing images related to played music wherein the mood information of music, being played, and state information of a user who is listening the music can be collected; at least one related image, corresponding to at least one from the mood information and the state information, can be extracted from an image source pool; and the related image can be output on a user terminal. The mood of the music that a user is listening to or a background image, matched with an environment of the user who is listening to the music, is composed of images related to the user. Therefore, the user can recall memories related to the images or can remember a situation at the time when the images are stored while the user is listening to the music. Accordingly, the user can enjoy the music with a more familiar feeling. |
