Disclosed are N-1-cyano-2-(phenyl)ethyl)-2-azabicyclo[2,2,1]heptane-3-carboxamides of formula I, wherein the substituents are as defined in the specification. Also disclosed is the use of compounds of formula I as inhibitors of Cathepsin C and pharmaceutical compositions containing the same for the treatment and/or prevention of respiratory diseases.
