<p>A turbine (17) for hydraulic power generation using a low or very low hydraulic head includes two bladed wheels (31, 32) successively arranged in a turbine tube section (21) the inside diameter of which increases in the direction of water flow through the tube. A fore wheel (31) and after wheel (32) are arranged with respect to a water flow direction (23) along a common rotation axis (30) extending in the direction of the water flow direction (23). The wheels (31, 32) rotate in opposite directions and are driven by the water flow. A first gear (46) and a second gear (47) are arranged along the rotation axis (30). The first gear (46) is connected to the fore wheel (31) and the second gear (47) is connected to the after wheel (32) such that the first (46) and second (47) gears are configured to rotate around the rotation axis (30) driven by each respective wheel (31, 32). The first (46) and second (47) gears are connected via an engagement gearing (48). The fore (31) and after (32) wheels are coupled to each other with respect to their rotation speed. The engagement gearing (48) is connectable to a power generator (51).</p> |
