<p>A cork remover for a bottle containing sparkling liquid such as wine is disclosed. The cork remover comprises an outer body (a) and an inner body (b) with cork-gripping means (g) which is slidably mounted in the outer body (a). The bottle opener comprises a notch (d) for positioning the outer body over the corks wire safety harness. The cork remover includes means (e, f) for restricting the sliding movement of the inner body in the expelling direction. A protrusion (f) of either the inner or outer body slides in a slit (e) of the other of the inner or outer body to restrict the movement. The opener allows the user to controllably release the cork.</p> |
