The invention relates to a nanogranular material for biomedical applications and to a process for preparing the same. The claimed material consists of a Fe-saccharide type combination, which is paramagnetic at room temperature, 301 K, with values lower than 1 emu/g, while at low temperatures of 4 K the magnetization curve does not show hysteresis and does not reach saturation up to 5 T, the saturation magnetization at low temperature of 4...5 K being of 4...4.5 emu/g. The claimed process consists in adding 0.575 g Na to an ethanolamine solution in deionized water, at room temperature, the resulting sodium alkoxide solution being added to an aqueous solution of ferric chloride, further on the resulting iron alkoxide being refluxed for 4...7 h together with 1.642 g of saccharide at a temperature of 40...60°C, to result in a Fe-2-deoxy-D-glucose complex combination. |
