Disclosed herein is a water treatment system (10) comprising a mixing station (12) including a first reservoir (12a) for receiving water for treatment. An agitator (12b) is provided in the first reservoir for mixing coagulant into the water. A settlement station (16) is provided downstream of the mixing station (12) for receiving water output from the mixing station. The settlement station (16) comprises a plurality of intermediate bulk containers (16a) in which contaminants from the water output from the mixing station are allowed to settle. The mixing station and flocculation station may be detachable from the settlement station and configured for movement between and, deployment at various sites. |
