The present disclosure relates to a transmucosai administration system to administer quinones, benzoquinones, and especially 1,4-benzoquinones, via the oromucosal route. The transmucosal administration system for a pharmaceutical active ingredient wherein the system contains a suspension comprising 30-60% by weight, of an active ingredient of the structural formula (I) and 40-70% by weight of a polyalcohol and/or a cellulose derivative as carrier material and wherein the system is a muco-adhesive film which dissolves in the mouth.
