Provided are shelf-stable concentrated liquid human milk fortifier compositions comprising extensively hydrolyzed casein and octenyl succinic acid (OSA) modified waxy potato starch. The OSA acts as a stabilizer for the compositions preventing the hardening of fat globules and the sedimentation of minerals in the fortifier. Further provided is a method of fortifying breast milk by mixing it with the concentrated liquid human milk fortifier compositions. |
