PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fingerprint quality system for determining the quality of an image on the basis of a ridge flow regardless of resolution.SOLUTION: A flat bed scanner or an automatic document scanner 15 digitizes information on a fingerprint card 10 in accordance with a corresponding image to be transmitted to a fingerprint quality module 100 for examination. A live scan type device such as a whole hand scanner 20 capable of photographing slap scan, an individual fingerprint scanner 25 and a slap scanner 30 fetch image information corresponding to the scan result of a ridge flow including a part of a biological structure. Image information corresponding to roll print for the fingerprint quality module is input to a single fingerprint roll scanner 35. The fingerprint quality module receives an image from one of input devices, and detects a ridge flow. When the ridge flow is temporarily recognized, and it is detected, which area in the image is specified on the basis of the operation environment of a fingerprint quality system 1. |
