Leading-in conductors for use with borosilicate glass and the like consist of 70-85 per cent of tungsten and 15-30 per cent of nickel or of nickel and cobalt, the amount of cobalt preferably not exceeding 5 per cent. The conductors are particularly applicable to luminous discharge tubes made of borosilicate glass filled with sodium, cadmium, magnesium, or thallium vapour.
