The present invention relates to a novel antibacterial composition and, more specifically, to a composition for preventing bacterial fruit blotch, comprising one or at least two peppermint oil-refined ingredients as active ingredients selected from the group consisting of peppermint oil or menthol separated therefrom, neomenthol, isopulegone, and 1,-8-cyneole. The present invention can be usefully used as a novel natural antibiotic having excellent antimicrobial effects with respect to bacterial pathogens generated by bacterial fruit blotch in cucurbitaceous crops. |
