A method for manufacturing a vertical light emitting device includes the steps of: forming a semiconductor light emitting structure which includes a single crystalline substrate and a semiconductor laminate; and forming a metal support layer on the semiconductor light emitting structure to support the semiconductor laminate through an aerosol deposition process. And then, the single crystalline substrate is separated from the semiconductor laminate.
