摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more accurately and stably measure an underwater position of a suspension object.SOLUTION: A suspension object position measurement method includes installation of position measurement means 12 at a location that is on a crane 26 on a work barge and only follows rotation motion of a boom 30 (and does not follow rise and fall motion of the boom). The installed position measurement means 12 measures a horizontal position of a part which is a part of each of a plurality of wires 32 and extends upward from a part connected to a suspension object 34, to calculate a horizontal position and a rotation angle of the suspension object 34 from results of the position measurement for the wires. As described above, a position of the suspension object 34 thrown into water is not directly measured, but the horizontal position and the rotation angle of the suspension object 34 are calculated from positions of the plurality of wires suspending the suspension object 34. Thereby, the position of the suspension object 34 can be measured more accurately and stably without directly receiving influence of bubbles in water or a water flow.</p>
