Provided are: an electrode that is for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery and that can improve service life characteristics; and a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery provided with same. One embodiment of this electrode for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises a collector and an active material layer formed on the surface of the collector. Also, the active material layer contains an active material, in which a polymer containing a carboxyl group is bonded to the surface of SiOx particles, and a binder, which comprises a water-soluble macromolecule having a sugar chain structure containing a carboxyl group, and the polymer and binder are bonded.
