An objective of the present invention is to provide a portable terminal device which is capable of reliably issuing a notification of information which is important to a user even if the portable terminal device is linked to another portable terminal device and displaying a screen in linkage therewith. Provided is a portable terminal device having a display, comprising: a contact detection unit which detects a contact with another portable terminal device; a terminal information transmitting unit which, when the contact is detected, transmits terminal information including configuration information of the display to the other portable terminal device; an image receiving unit which receives an image which is generated by the other portable terminal device on the basis of the terminal information; a display control unit which displays the received image in the display; an event determination unit which determines, on the basis of a predetermined reference, whether an event has occurred about which the user should be notified; and an image generating unit which generates a first image relating to the event. When the event has occurred, the display control unit suspends the display of the received image, and displays the first image in the display. |
