RETRACTING TUNNEL RODENT TRAP Abstract A rodent trap (20) covered base (28) defines an enclosed interior (40) accessible through a sliding plastic tunnel (60) defining a passageway (148) for rodents (146) into the interior. The tunnel (60) has a projecting strike member (44), and is biased by an underlying spring (22) to a retracted position. A trigger engaging member (114) extends from the tunnel (60) to be retained by a catch (128) on a trigger (42) mounted to the base (28). When a rodent (146) passes through the tunnel (60) into the base interior (40), it is directed by barriers (48, 50, 78) towards a rodent attracting bait (124).
