PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide dermal delivery compositions as a less invasive delivery route.SOLUTION: A composition comprises uniform, rigid, spherical nanoporous calcium phosphate calcium phosphate particles. The particles have an average particle diameter of 2 microns or less and are complexed with an active agent. The particles have a pore volume ranging from 30 to 85%, and preferably have a pore size ranging from 2 nm to 100 nm. The composition is topically administered to a mucosal location, a keratinized skin surface or the like. |
