PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that enables information to be obtained from an information processing device in an aspect acceptable to an individual user, and that can help remote control of the device and new product development.SOLUTION: An information communication system is provided that includes an information processing device and a monitoring device for monitoring the information processing device by communicating with the information processing device. The information processing device comprises: an information acquisition unit for acquiring multiple types of operation information changing with operation of the information processing device; a reception unit for accepting setting input for selecting information to be sent to the monitoring device from the multiple types of operation information; and a communication unit for transmitting the operation information selected by the setting input to the reception unit to the monitoring device. The monitoring device comprises: a storage unit for storing the operation information transmitted by the information processing device; and a monitoring unit for monitoring the operation situation of the information processing device on the basis of the operation information stored in the storage unit.
