摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide nickel hydroxide containingα-nickel hydroxide, and showing a high discharge capacity when being used as a cathode active material of an alkali battery.SOLUTION: In the case where nickel hydroxide containsα-nickel hydroxide andβ-nickel hydroxide, and a half band width (2θ) of (003) plane diffraction peak in X-ray diffraction using CuKα-rays is below 2°, when the nickel hydroxide is used as a cathode active material of an alkali battery, a high discharge capacity can be attained.
