A cell module has a plurality of lined-up cells, a pair of plate members that are provided at both ends of the cells in the lining-up direction, a restraining piece joined to the plate members to integrate the cells, at least one connection bus bar for interconnecting terminals of cells that are adjacent to each other in the lining-up direction, and an elastic member for absorbing expansion of the cells in the lining-up direction. The connection bus bars are connected between a pair of connection parts that are connected to the terminal and a pair of connection parts. The cell module has a bent part that, in correspondence with the expansion of the cells in the lining-up direction, is capable of deforming, by elongation, in the lining-up direction. The total allowable amount of deformation that is based on the allowable amount of deformation of the bent part in the lining-up direction is set so as to be equal to or greater than the thickness of the elastic member in the lining-up direction. |
