The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for setting up inactivity time and a recording medium. The apparatus for setting up inactivity time according to the present invention comprises: a collecting unit which collects or captures a plurality of packets transmitted and received, through communications network, between a specific application arranged in a plurality of wireless terminals and a server on communications network; a sorting unit which sorts, in ascending order, packet transmission and reception time intervals (t) for the specific application, based on collected or captured packet visual information collected or captured by the collecting unit; a detecting unit which detects packet transmission and reception time intervals (t) for a predetermined ratio (%) of packets, among the packet transmission and reception time intervals (t) for the specific application sorted in ascending order; a comparing unit which compares the packet transmission and reception generation time intervals (t) detected by the detecting unit with the maximum allowable inactivity time preset by a communications operator; and a setting unit which, as a comparison result of the comparing unit, sets a smaller value (t), among the packet transmission and reception time intervals (t) detected by the detecting unit and the maximum allowable inactivity time preset by the communications operator, as inactivity time for the specific application. |
