METHOD FOR PRODUCING ORGANIC COMPOUND USING MICROORGANISMS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing an organic compound by improving a production rate, particularly under a condition where the organic compound is accumulated in high concentration, when producing the organic compound using microorganisms.SOLUTION: A method for producing an organic compound comprises a step of producing the organic compound by acting the microorganisms with organic compound productivity or a processed product thereof on a saccharide-containing raw material under presence of hydroxyacetone in an aqueous medium (henceforth a "fermentation process"). The saccharide-containing raw material is preferred to be a raw material which contains hydroxyacetone.
