A touch substrate and a touchscreen, which belong to the technical field of touch control and can solve the problem that a sensing capacitance between electrodes in the existing touch substrate is too small. The touch substrate comprises a plurality of first electrodes (1) and a plurality of second electrodes (2), which are crosswise arranged, wherein each first electrode (1) comprises a plurality of first metal meshes (11), adjacent first metal meshes (11) being connected through a connection part (12); and each second electrode (2) comprises a plurality of second metal meshes (21), adjacent second metal meshes (21) being connected through a connection bridge (22). The first metal meshes (11), the second metal meshes (21) and the connection part (12) are on the same layer, and an insulation layer (4) is arranged between the layers where the connection bridge(22) and the connection part (12) are located, wherein at least partial edges of the first metal meshes are provided with first edge strips (13), the first edge strips (13) being adjacent to corresponding second metal meshes (21) and being connected to the first metal meshes (11); and/or at least partial edges of the second metal meshes (21) are provided with second edge strips (23), the second edge strips (23) being adjacent to corresponding first metal meshes (11) and being connected to the second metal meshes (21). The touchscreen comprises the touch substrate.
