The purpose of the present invention is to provide a list processing device and a list processing method that suppress delays in list updating processing in a continuous list scrolling operation. This list processing device is provided with: a display data generation unit that generates display data for displaying a list containing a plurality of processing items arranged in order on a display device; an operation receiving unit that receives a user scrolling operation for scrolling through the list to select items in order; and a process execution instruction unit that causes an item selected by a first scrolling operation to be processed when the first scrolling operation is received, that does not allow an item selected by a second scrolling operation to be processed if the second scrolling operation is received within a predetermined time period after the first scrolling operation has been received, and that causes the item selected by the second scrolling operation to be processed if a third scrolling operation is not received within the predetermined time period. |
