PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To import candidates from a server at a short time, and enhance convenience for selection of a candidate.SOLUTION: A terminal device 1 acquires internal candidates by executing retrieval according to an input character string (a list A) and transmits to a sever 2 a candidate transmission request signal containing the identification information of a terminal dictionary of the own device and the input character string. In the sever 2, retrieval is executed according to the terminal dictionary corresponding to the identification information in the received candidate transmission request signal, and a dedicated server dictionary for the own device, and returns to the terminal device 1 dictionary data (a list B) different from dictionary data (a list D) extracted from the terminal dictionary among dictionary data (a list E) extracted from the sever dictionary. The terminal device 1 generates a final candidate list C in which notation character strings of candidates of the lists A and B are arranged according to the priority thereof. |
