The objective of present invention is to improve coil alignment and bobbin strength in an axial air gap dynamo-electric machine. An axial air gap dynamo-electric machine (1) having: a stator (2) in which a plurality of core members (6) having iron cores (8), coils (9) of radius r that are wound around the outer circumference of the iron cores, and bobbins (7) disposed between the iron cores and the coils are annularly aligned in annular fashion about a rotation shaft; and a rotor (30) placed in a counter-facial arrangement with the end surfaces of the iron cores across a gap in the radial direction of the rotation shaft, wherein the bobbins have a tubular portion (7b) for winding a coil, a flange portion (7a) that extends from the vicinity of the opening at the end of the tubular portion over the entire outer circumference of the tubular portion for a predetermined length in the perpendicular direction, and a corner portion (7c) of thickness r in the area in which the tubular portion (7b) and the flange portion (7a) are joined together, where r is the thickness along the extension direction of the tubular portion from position r along the extension direction of the flange portion from the intersection (x) of the line extending in the extension direction of the flange portion and the line extending in the extension direction of the outer circumference of the tubular portion. The coil is in contact with the tubular portion and the part that has the thickness r. |
