<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emission control device of a laser diode which does not cause a discontinuous change in the amount of light.SOLUTION: By using a laser diode drive circuit having more than one current output terminal, currents from different terminals are controlled, respectively, for fine adjustment and rough adjustment, in the ranges of different size. In this configuration, two target values D causing the same output current value are focused (dot line in the figure), and a correction target value Dc is calculated so that the value of the high-order bit of the target value D increases by 1 for a value larger than that by 1 (in other words, carry). Consequently, discontinuous change of the output current value or the amount of light does not occur (in other words, the value does not skip), or is suppressed.</p> |
