Disclosed is a colored glass plate, with which it is possible to reduce the quantity of sodium sulfate (Na2SO4) used as a clarificant, suppress development of an amber color derived from sodium sulfate, stably maintain the mass ratio of divalent iron in terms of Fe2O3 in the total iron in terms of Fe2O3 at a high level, and minimize the amount of foam, despite the low total quantity of sulfur in terms of SO3. Specifically disclosed is a colored glass plate which is composed of alkali-containing silica glass that contains iron, tin and sulfur. The alkali-containing silica glass contains, in mass% based on oxides, not less than 0.025% of the total sulfur in terms of SO3, the ratio of divalent iron in terms of Fe2O3 in the total iron in terms of Fe2O3 is at least 45% by mass, and the ratio of divalent tin in terms of SnO2 in the the total tin in terms of SnO2 is at least 0.1% by mole, and β-OH is at least 0.15mm-1. |
