A display device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a substrate which accommodates gate lines, data lines, and a thin film transistor; an insulation layer on the thin film transistor; a pixel electrode which is placed on the insulation layer and is connected to the thin film transistor; a roof layer which is placed above the pixel electrode with a microcavity in between; a common electrode which includes the first part between the microcavity and the roof layer; and a liquid crystal layer which is place within the microcavity and includes the liquid crystal material. The common electrode includes the second part which is separated from the insulation layer in the area overlapped with the data lines. Between the insulation layer and the second part in the common electrode, placed is a spacer member overlapped with the data lines. |
