A medical image processing support system provided with: a storage unit for storing medical treatment information correlated to a medical treatment step as a prior information parameter, and metadata that includes the identification information of image processing executable for each medical treatment step and a prior information parameter corresponding to the image processing; a medical treatment step selection unit for selecting a medical treatment step for a patient; and an image processing analysis unit for extracting image processing executable in the selected medical treatment step from the storage unit, extracting the prior information parameter corresponding to the image processing extracted from the storage unit, acquiring, from the storage unit, a medical treatment step in which the prior information parameter was updated, determining the freshness of the prior information parameter correlated to the selected medical treatment step, and determining, from the determined freshness, the priority of the image processing executable in the selected medical treatment step.
