PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convergence type folding chair whose armrest members are foldable into rod shapes that are not supported by other members from intermediate parts to front end parts.SOLUTION: A folding chair includes: a pair of lateral leg structures, a pair of seat surface support structures, a pair of armrest structures, and two back and forth connection structures joining the structures. The respective lateral leg structures are provided with: first lateral crossing members where lower half parts comprise front legs and upper half parts comprise backrest support parts; and second lateral crossing members where upper end near parts are rotatably joined to intermediate parts of the first lateral crossing members to configure rear legs. The respective seat surface support structures are provided with: front column bodies which are rotatably joined to lower end near parts of the first lateral crossing members and are stretchable; and seat surface support members where front end near parts are rotatably joined to upper end parts of the front column bodies and rear end parts are rotatably and slidably joined to the upper end near parts of the second lateral crossing members respectively. The respective armrest structures are supported by one of the lateral leg structures or both of the crossing members from the rear end parts to intermediate parts and not supported by other members from the intermediate parts to the front end parts. |
