Provided are a path detection method, a destination node device and a communication system. The path detection method of the present invention comprises: judging, by a destination node, whether a detection packet sent by an ingress node through a detection multicast tree is received within a pre-determined time period, wherein the destination node is a node connected to a receiver, and the ingress node is a node connected to a multicast source; and the detection multicast tree and a first multicast tree have the same transmission path and different multicast addresses; and if not, determining, by the destination node, that an upstream node of the destination node in the first multicast tree has a path failure. The embodiments of the present invention can realize the fast switching of a failed path. |
