Provided is a washing machine; each time there is a wash operation, the washing machine removes contaminants such as soap particles and soap scum that have become stuck on the inside surface of a door body unit, thus maintaining the aesthetics and sense of cleanliness of the door body unit, while also not diminishing the outside view through the door body unit. The washing machine is provided with a water receptacle (6) flexibly supported by a main body (2), a rotating drum (7) capable of being inclinedly or horizontally pivotably supported inside said water receptacle (6) about the axis of rotation, a door body unit (3) having a glass sealing body (30) used for placing and removing an article of laundry into and from said rotating drum (7), a door body gasket (17) for maintaining the watertightness between said water receptacle (6) and the glass sealing body (30) of said door body unit (3), and a nozzle (20) secured to the water receptacle (6) and used for spraying wash water toward the recessed corner where the glass sealing body (30) of said door body unit (3) and the concave part of said door body gasket (17) meet.
