PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a test container facilitating the attachment of a lid body, sufficiently ensuring hermeticity and fitting strength, and suppressing the leakage or scattering of an aviation fuel oil and the deviation of the lid body.SOLUTION: A test container for inspecting whether a contaminant is present in an aviation fuel oil comprises: a sample jar 1 that includes a bottomed cylindrical container body 2; and a lid body 5 detachably fitted to the container body 2, and the lid body 5 includes a disk flange portion 6; a finger grip portion 7 protruding from an upper surface of the flange portion 6 and including a communication passage W vertically penetrating the upper surface near a center of the upper surface; a fitting portion 8 protruding from a lower surface of the flange portion 6 and including a concave groove formed overt an entire outer circumferential surface of the lower surface; and a packing 9 whose inner circumferential end portion 9a is inserted and fitted into the concave groove on the outer circumferential surface of the fitting portion 8 and including one or more through-holes 91 formed in a region exposed from this concave groove.
