PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device capable of reliably preventing an opening/closing part which is used in an opened state during recording from being put into a closed state during recording.SOLUTION: A recording device includes a recording head for recording on a medium, and further includes a carriage which reciprocates in a prescribed direction, an opening/closing part which opens and closes, and a regulation part 12 for regulating closing of the opening/closing part. The regulation part 12 performs regulation operation triggered by a movement of the carriage from a home position in which the carriage is located during a non-recording time. |
