PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain airbag device and a passenger protection device capable of improving passenger protection performance of a sub-deployment portion inflating and deploying in front of an inflation portion.SOLUTION: A curtain airbag device 14 comprises: a main deployment portion 20M receiving the supply of a gas and deploying in a curtain shape when a side crash and at least one of a small overlap crash and an oblique crash occur; a sub-deployment portion 20S inflating and deploying in front of the main deployment portion 20M; and a triangular cloth tether (tension structure) 30 connecting a front end portion of a front pillar 26 to a rear end portion thereof, and deploying while receiving a tension so that an intermediate portion in a front-back direction passes through outward of the sub-deployment portion 20S in a vehicle width direction. The sub-deployment portion 20S is configured so that a plurality of chambers deploying adjacently in the vehicle front-back direction is connected together by a connecting element outward in the vehicle width direction. |
