PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate management of image information for each user, when a reader having no authentication device is shared by a plurality of users.SOLUTION: In a scan service system where a client, a server and a scanner are connected via a network, and the scanner is connected with an occupancy setting device, the occupancy setting device performs reservation registration of the scanner, by associating a user ID of a user desiring the reading by means of the scanner, and a user feature amount obtained by extracting the feature amount from an image of this user's authentication card, collates the reading feature amount obtained by extracting the feature amount from the authentication image data, that is obtained by reading the authentication card by means of the scanner, with a user feature amount in reservation registration, and outputs a document reading request for permitting the reading of a document by means of the scanner, when there is a user feature amount matching the reading feature amount. |
