The polyester resin pertaining to the present invention contains primarily diol constituent units and dicarboxylic acid constituent units, 10-84 mol% of the diol constituent units being derived from ethylene glycol, 16-90 mol% of the diol constituent units being derived from neopentyl glycol represented by a specific formula (i), and 50-100 mol% of the dicarboxylic acid constituent units being derived from naphthalene dicarboxylic acid. The optical lens pertaining to the present invention is obtained by molding the abovementioned polyester resin. The optical lens system pertaining to the present invention includes the abovementioned optical lens and another optical lens.
