PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric brake device capable of improving control accuracy without the necessity of cost increase.SOLUTION: The electric brake device includes: an electric motor 2; a brake rotor; a friction pad; a transmission mechanism; brake force command means 26a; brake force estimation means 30; motor rotation angle detection means 28; and a controller 7. The motor rotation angle detection means 28 used in a part of a brake force area exhibiting from least brake force to greatest brake force, has a resolution ability greater than an ability of resolution into a motor rotation angle for generating change in brake force equal to a least brake force resolution ability of the brake force estimation means 30. The controller 7 has resolution ability interpolation means 37 for interpolating the least brake force resolution ability obtained at the brake force estimation means 30, with a motor rotation angle detected at the motor rotation angle detection means 28. |
