PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric brake device capable of preventing a pad from wearing out over a limit, and estimating the wear of a friction pad without increasing a cost and a space.SOLUTION: An electric brake device is equipped with an electric motor 2, a brake rotor, a friction pad, a direct-acting mechanism, brake force command means 26a; brake force estimating means 30; motor rotation angle detecting means 28; and a control device 7. The control device 7 is provided with pad wear amount estimating means 37, which estimates the wear amount of the friction pad at the present time by comparing a correlation of a motor rotation angle detected by the motor rotation angle detecting means 28 and brake force obtained by the brake force estimating means 30 with a predetermined correlation of a motor rotation angle and brake force when the friction pad is not worn. |
